Touche, Pete Wilson, touche. I’m afraid you may be correct. The only reason I added the Apes to the list is because my Dad thinks they’re really cool and I wanted him to think I’d finally finished watching the movie.

Because your argument was so convincing (mind meld on a humpback whale?!) and you’re obviously a die-hard Trekkie, I will accept your substitution and put Mr. Spock in the #2 spot. Well played, Pete Wilson. Thank you for setting the record straight.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have a movie to finish watching.

I’m sorry to have to point this out, but the Apes of the “Planet of the Apes” were NOT Aliens!! (If you had bothered to finish watching the movie, you would have discovered this for yourself.)

For the number 2 spot of cool aliens, I would like to nominate Mr. Spock of Star Trek to replace the apes. Unlike the apes, he was a true alien -a Vulcan. He could do a lot of cool stuff, too. In fact, he even did a mind meld on a humpback whale in one movie.
